Christmas Day 2010

Wow, Santa was busy. Good thing Madison was good at the beginning of the year. She was awe struck with the day. The Coughlin's and the Feener's came over for an afternoon buffet. Somehow i was so busy I didn't take any pictures, oops.

Santa Time

We went to the mall to see Santa. Madison was upset because she didn't get to sit on his lap. Mom didn't mind because the mall Santa was a wee bit creepy. Lucky for us later in the day Santa was visiting the fire station and she was able to sit on his lap there instead of next too him. Onto Christmas Eve where we baked cookies for Santa and made some food for the reindeer. We had to put the reindeer food outside because Madi said there is no way they all will fit inside the house. She was right and what a mess the left on the front yard oats, sparkles and M&M's everywhere.

Low-life's

Dave said I have sunk to an all time low. Every time we take her to get her pictures done she is not herself and it is a struggle to get a good photo so I decided I would do it myself. Our tree was ugly so went to brunch and took photo's at the Atkinson country club. Dave was mortified when I invited myself into the ballroom and started lighting up their Christmas trees. Thank god no one saw us. It was a little embarrassing but I did get some shot's that show her true personality.

Merrimac Santa Parade

This was our first year attending the Merrimac Santa parade. We froze our tails off. It was a spectacular parade about an hour and 15 minutes long. Next year we will be better prepared for the length. They had such a wide variety, we will definitely go again.

Amesbury Santa Parade

Playing holiday catch up, these were taken at the Amesbury Santa parade.

Atkinson Tree Lighting

We kicked off the holiday season with our annual tree lighting festival st the Atkinson country club. We had such a great time. We went on a hayride through the golf course, sang along with Santa, ate cookies and watched them carve ice sculptures. We timed it just right this year, we got there for the last hayride before Santa arrived to light the tree. I love the fireworks that go off as he lights the tree. I am already excited for next years festivities.

2010 Christmas Tree

We cut our own tree this year, it was quite an adventure. We always end up picking our tree out in the dark so we set out early this year since we planned on cutting a fresh tree. We ran a few errands and next thing you know it was night time. We were determined to cut a tree so to the farm we went. It was pitch dark, we couldn't see a thing. We were guided solely be cell phone and 1 mag light, yes we were not going home without a tree. It was certainly a memorable moment, Mom holding the tree steady, Dave on the ground cutting the tree and Madison holding the flashlight so we could see. She just loves to help. She was quite proud of her efforts and helping her Dad cut and set the tree up. If only the tree wasn't so ugly.
