Oh God!!!

Poor Chubs, She has hand mouth and foot disease now. She spiked a fever of 102. So far no blisters except the 2 spots on her cheeks. It was scary for us because she has never had a fever until now. She did enjoy being in just her diaper. She would get spurts of energy and run around and then crash. I stayed home yesterday and Dave is there today. Anyone want Friday?? Just kidding. Is there anything this baby wont catch???

Happy Father's Day!!!

Happy Father's Day!!! We went to breakfast with the Feener's in the morning and chilled in the afternoon. it was nice to relax at home and watch some movies. Dave, you are the best and we love you so-o much.

Follow the Leader

She is a funny gal!!!!! She walked Dave down to our bedroom to show him her new trick. Once again, poor Jackson! Nothing is sacred for him!!!!!!!!!!! She hasn't tried to get in Tucker's crate (yet). She just blocks his entrance and talks his ear off. Poor only child with no friends. It makes me feel bad, at least the dogs are tolerant of her.

My Dukes

For all you dog lovers, you must see Marley and Me if you haven't already. The movie was funny at times and I would say that overall it is an OK movie, but if you ever had a beloved pooch it is a stroll down memory lane with a tear jerker ending. It reminded me so much of my childhood Duke and my adult Duke. It gives me faith at some point Dave will like our Tucker and Jackson. Well maybe I am reaching on that one, but I do know that Madison loves them and they will have an enormous impact upon her life.

Watching this movie reminded me of how my life was touched by my childhood Duke. He would let me ride on him, paint his toes, play dress up and walk me to and from the bus stop. I hope Madi reflects upon her childhood years and thinks how fortunate she was and how great it was to have had these two in her life. I hope she reminisces about how she chased Tucker around and just outright tormented Jackson between hugs, kisses, kicks, pulls, and stomps with more adventures to come.

It also dredged up the sad feelings of the loss of my Dukes. I was fortunate to have both of them in my life. My adult Duke was literally my first baby and I miss him so much. I will never forget the joy he brought to our lives along with the pain of losing him so young. So as you can tell this movie really touched me. I enjoyed my stroll down memory lane. Enjoy heaven Dukes!!!

Vision

It got really muggy on Saturday so we turned the air conditioner on. Madison stands in front of the air conditioner and takes in the breeze. She loves it. For some reason when I saw Madison standing by her car door a had a quick vision of her at 16 standing by her own car. It was scary. I love her facial expressions when I say smile. I love this kid so much. She is a trip and keeps us entertained.

Poor Jackson

Madison has taken a real interest in the two dogs lately. Tucker's so jumpy by nature and smart enough to stay out of the harms I mean Madison's way. She reaches to pet him but he immediately escapes. Jackson on the other hand just sits and take it all. She pets him, pulls at him even steps on his belly, tail and paws. He really is good with her despite the fact she torments him. He sat there while she gave him a bear hugs and when he finally had enough and pulled away she chased him yelling Tucker. Someday she'll say Jackson and be gentle, I promise!!!

Idiot's

"Idiot's" that about sums it up. Dave and I thought we had measured the pool and knew what size it was. It never occurred to us to measure the pool before we ordered a new one. Yes, we got the wrong size. While having a bigger pool will be nice it's a lot more work.

Thank you Nana B and Boompa, they spent all weekend helping Dave with the yard and the pool. These two worker bees ripped out the Feener vineyards and let me tell you we gave Napa valley a run for their money with our hearty vines. All the green behind the pool were grapevines that went an additional 30' to the house.Nana B leveled the side yard that was dug up by bobcat. I thought we needed fill to get that lawn semi decent but no it just needed 20 hours (no exaggeration) of Nana B. Hopefully the pool will be finished by July so we can reap the rewards of their labor.

Crazy Clumsy Gal

Madison came home sporting a black eye today. It happened at daycare but nobody seems to know how. Look at all the bruises on this kid. She runs around the house with her head down and bumps into everything. She thought it was funny to bump her head into the cabinets after doing it once by accident. Are all toddlers this careless and wild????? When I tell Madi to smile she now poses for the camera like picture #2. She loves her big smiles.

Sand and Water Table

Madison loves being outside. She 's not too sure about the sand yet but she loves the water. It was priceless when she dumped the whole bucket of water on herself. She discovered it was fun splashing Mommy too.

Copycat

Hmmmmmm, where does she get the sillies from??????

Memorial Day 09

It has been a while since I've posted. We have been very busy lately. We are doing or shall I say Dave is doing loads of home renovations. He is currently in the process of residing and vinyl siding the house. Believe it or not or house was not insulated so he has to completely remove the entire exterior, insulate and then add siding. it is quite a project. It all started with the installation of a new sliding door.
We did actually have a chance to chill out as a family on Memorial Day.
