Chub's

Fall approaches, the weather changes along and so does my baby. She will always be my baby but she really is transforming into a little girl. It is happening so quickly when I looked at her last night, I realized the transformation from baby to toddler and just how she has recently changed so much. She is a character and her vocabulary has just blossomed. She is getting 4 more teeth, her fangs are finally coming in. I thought I would share these pictures from the weekend. All I have to do is say "cheese" and I get goofy girl.
She started a new daycare this week and her adaptation not only amazed me but her new provider as well. She went from a family scenario to a structured environment with set rules. She is still learning the ropes but it really seems to be a seamless transition for her. She interacts with the other kids well. She just needs to learn to share a bit better but they are working on it.

Tool Time Update

After Before
I know I said I wasn't going to post updates until Dave's gianormous home improvements are done. Thanks to mother nature and all the lovely rain the complete projects will be a while plus the improvements keep creating new projects, poor Dave!!!!

Dave, Ron and Derek busted their hump last weekend removing the Feener eye-sore. The pictures just don't do it justice. If you see in the before picture the window panes really were gray and tough to see through. Dave decided with the new window we will remove all the paneling from the living room and re-sheet rock. I can't wait to see the finished product.

Pig-tails

Madi wore her first pig tails today. This is what happened when I took the elastics out. Let me say, the pictures do not do this mop justice. When I finally stopped laughing at her I thought to grab the camera. At first it was like the flock of seagulls but tamed after a bit.

Nana's Birthday

It has been a while since the Feener clan was together. We celebrated Nana's birthday at Striper's. The only ones missing were Michael's crew. It was nice to see Auntie Kendra and Dave. Before they move back to the states we really need to visit them. Madi was a bit shy at first but livened up after a little bit. She just hates men. I wonder how long we can get that to last????? She is a character. In the second picture I asked her to say cheese and she was her typical dramatical self. She must get the drama from the Feener side, right? Happy Birthday Nana!!!!!!!!

Hoarder

It was a struggle but she was determine to sit in the bumbo. I am cleaning out all of her baby items . As I prepare them for consignment Madi fights to retain her old goods. She is a hoarder. If you've seen our basement you'll see she's just like dad. "You never know when you'll need it!"

Teddy

This was Madi's first Teddy. She loves carrying it around the house. Yesterday she insisted Teddy do everything with her. She even attempted to feed him her eggs. He is about the same size as her so it's not so easy to move about with him but she stuck to her motto "No Teddy left behind"!

Goober

LMAO, I just finished posting Madi's crib tale and how her hero is a bull and he comes in the living room grabs the camera and starts taking pictures of his foot. Odd I know, I thought he was just complaining because he stubbed his toe and was bleeding that night. I must admit I was more concerned about the fact he got blood on her pretty rug and how I was going to clean it rather than his foot (great wife, I know). I thought the limp was a sympathy plea. Who knew? It looks worse in person than pictures.

Dave, You are her hero and we both love you very much. So much in fact we'll let you have Saturday off from siding the house and no it has nothing to do with the pouring rain. ;)

She Did It!!!

Last weekend Madi and I celebrated Labor Day weekend by perusing the local parks and enjoying our first trip of the season to Applecrest. Madison loved petting the animals and dancing to the band. Dave on the other hand was slaving back at the ranch along with his Dad and Brenda. Yes, I feel like a shlep but someone has to watch the kid, right? Thank you Nana B and Boompa, not too sure what we would do without you.

Anyway, over dinner one night we were joking about how any day Madi will be climbing out of her crib. We questioned when we should go to the toddler bed. Well, she must have heard us. We don't call her "Devil" for nothing. Last night she was yelling at us from her crib while we were watching her in the monitor. I no sooner said to Dave that I think she's trying to get out and her feet came off the ground, we heard a big thud followed by screams. Might I say I have never seen Dave move so fast, not so agile but fast. He has the boo boo on his foot to prove his stealth moving or shall I just say "bull in a china shop". Needless to say she is fine and we had a good ole laugh. Tonight there is extra padding around the crib. I am not ready to convert to a toddler bed yet.
