18 Weeks

Wow, time does fly. I cannot believe it has been 18 weeks since Madison was born. Today she had her 4 month check up with Dr. Lars. She got her second set of shots. She weighs 14 lbs and 12 oz and is in the 70th percentile for weight. She has Daddy's height thus far. She is 26" long and is now in the 95th percentile for height. Daddy came with us to the doctors. Madison did so good (Daddy too). She only cried when she was getting the needles. Daddy held her while she got her shots. Mommy didn't want to do it this time. I must say it went much better than last time.

She is growing so much every day. She rolls on her side in her crib, giggles (especially when the dogs bark or I yell at them), grabs for anything she can and sometimes chats up a storm. She is so long she only fits into some of her 6 month clothes. She is wearing 6-9 months already and some pants look like capris. I am so happy to be home with her all this time. The thought of going back to work is nauseating. I do not know how people do it or how I will do it. I keep trying to scheme up ways to stay home. This week it is scratch tickets. Wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Mary,
Scratch tickets are not such a bad idea! It's tough leaving the girls in daycare while I work. It's been about a year and a half now and I still have days where I'd love to stay home. And then I have some Mondays and Tuesdays (my days off) where I think I could pull my hair out by the time Jay gets home. Motherhood is tough anyway you slice it but so much fun too. Glad to hear Madison is doing so well. I can't believe she is already rolling. It seems like just yesterday she was born! She is so cute and I can't wait to meet her. I'll have to visit the next time you are at Kelli's. Talk to you soon,
Jeannie
