This ice storm was a real humdinger. Trees were dropping left and right. One tree hit the
troll's house next door but did no damage. We went 7 days with no power. Thankfully, Ron rescued us by bringing up his generator. Dave right away called to get Ron to come up. He didn't want the pipes to freeze. My thoughts were, I better hurry and book a hotel room before they all go. Funny where are priorities lie. Honestly, I was thinking of the baby. No electricity, no heat, no water and no
TV. There is no way she would survive. Needless to say I cancelled my reservation and we really didn't suffer once the generator was up and running. Poor Madison had the stomach bug. It was a rough 6 hours with no water and large messes. We survived it. I frankly can't remember a storm like this one. I remember the blizzard of 78 which was primarily snow instead of ice. Ice almost seems worse. We still have no cable. 16 days with no TV is a killer. We finally gave up on
comcast and
Directv came out today. For 2 weeks now they have been promising to restore the service. Once they do we will tell them no thanks.

We went five days and it was awful! We got a generator from my parents but still had no running water. It was like the end of the world in NH and cross the border to Mass everyone was normal and going about their business. Thank God we were born when we were, imagine the Pioneer people lived like that forever.I would have been a serial killer pioneer woman!haha!
Lol, we laughed at that too. We determied that I would not have made it this long. I would have died early.
